Caryn Candela, ACNS-BC, CNS

Caryn Guerini Candela is a board-certified adult clinical nurse specialist (ACNS-BC). She earned her associate of science in nursing from Kent State, Ashtabula in 1986 and her bachelor of science in nursing from Kent State University in 1989. Caryn then received her master of science in nursing in 2001 from Youngstown State University.

Caryn has been with Advanced Cardiovascular Consultants since the beginning in 2004. She has an extensive background in cardiology, including several years in the surgical intensive care unit aiding the recovery and management of open heart patients.

In addition, Caryn has over 20 years' experience in the emergency department providing care to patients having cardiac arrest, heart failure, arrhythmias, and heart attacks. She currently manages patients in the hospital and in outpatient settings, including cardiac rehab.

Caryn is a member of the Preventative Cardiology Nurses Association and Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.

An Ashtabula native, Caryn still resides here with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys physical fitness, traveling, and spending time with her family.
